TORCHE, RED 7 – AUSTIN, TX

AUSTIN – Concert-goers lined up early tonight for a sold out show at Austin night club, RED 7. On the bill, a trio of bands led by “sludge metal” hard rockers, TORCHE, and their equally heavy/equally impressive openers, NOTHING, and WRONG.

Miami natives, Torche, have been touring relentlessly over the years, and 2015 is no exception. With the February release of their fourth album, Restarter, the band has been traveling to different states nightly, playing to welcoming crowds that are only getting bigger. Songs like “Annihilation Affair” and the album’s title track, “Restarter”, have become hits with audiences across the country, and this was apparent tonight here in Austin, where they performed a tour-de-force setlist that rocked the crowd.

For the openers, Nothing, and Wrong, the combination of their names alone seemed to subliminally assure you there would be no cause for disappointment. Thankfully this proved true as both bands put on engaging shows that held the attention of the audience throughout both of their sets. Nothing, a Philly band, is touring in support of their debut full-length album, Guilty of Everything, while Torche’s Miami neighbors, Wrong, prove their worth rocking out songs from their EP, Stop Giving. Both bands will be supporting Torche throughout their Restarter 2015 tour.
