Festival Preview: Atlanta’s 2018 Shaky Knees Festival

We’re roughly one month away, Atlanta! Yes, the annual Shaky Knees Festival is fast approaching and packing more punch than ever before. So, ladies and gentlemen, dudes and dudettes, metalheads, hipsters, pop punkers, and all music lovers in general get ready and get stoked, the Shaky Knees Festival daily schedule has been released and it is now time to start planning your days.

With a lively environment and four stages set across Atlanta’s Central Park for the performing bands, this year’s festival will be an insane utopia of musical awesomeness. As planned, Friday will see some major action to kick things off as acts like Franz Ferdinand, Jimmy Eat World, Fleet Foxes, and living legends David Byrne and Jack White are revving to set the bar high.

Perfection continues Saturday with a bill that includes performances by Greta Van Fleet, Bully, Circa Survive, Atlanta natives Manchester Orchestra, and what promises to be a mind-blowing extravaganza from Queens of the Stone Age. Obviously, only a fool would miss out on this action-packed day of terrific tunes. Don’t be that fool.

Lastly, Sunday’s closing ceremonies will be headlined by Grammy-winning outfit The National. Keeping these alt-rock titans company will be showings by Vance Joy, Tenacious D, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and New York cool-cats The Voidz. There will be plenty of tunes to take in, beers to chug, foods to devour, and friends to be made.

So, music-lovers of Hotlanta, do not miss out. Trust us, this is worth your time. So, grab a friend or come solo, remember to request that time off from work or call in sick, and get ready to dive headfirst into the best the Atlanta music-scene has to offer.
