The Trongone Band // Live @ Tradition Brewing // 7.7.18

NEWPORT NEWS, VA- The South continues to to rise, this time with the strains of song from Virginia’s own homegrown favorites, Richmond’s The Trongone Band.

Delivering southern rock with a natural ease, brothers Andrew and Johnny Trongone accompanied by Chip Hale and Ben White stopped by Tradition Brewing in Newport News as part of their aggressive 2018 tour promoting their debut album Keys to the House. The unseasonably cool weather contributed to the relaxed feel of the summer evening in the open aired atmosphere of the venue. Must-listen single “Blind” and obvious band favorite “Anne Marie” were both featured in the midst of an extensive set list of 16 songs. The night concluded with a cover of Grateful Dead‘s “U.S. Blues”. To catch this band as they travel and hit many of the season’s music festivals, check out this link for dates:
