DALLAS – Canadian rockers, The Tragically Hip rolled into the House of Blues for the second to the last stop on their wildly successful “Fully and Completely” tour.

One of the few national acts to arrive in town without an opener, The Hip went against the grain and did not use a local band in their show and instead opted for house musak before starting their set.

Without an opening act and emerging onstage over twenty minutes late, The Hip still managed to pack the house out to near capacity. And it was well worth the wait, because The Hip totally killed it. The band’s stage presence was inherently domineering as they played through a solid set of classics and fan favorites mixed with some newer material. Every veteran fan that we spoke to (and there were a lot of them) emphatically agreed that this was the best Hip concert they had ever been to. The Hip definitely gave the ticket holders their monies worth that night in Dallas.

The tour began in January as part of effort to promote the re-release of their 1992 classic, Fully Completely. In addition to the reissues CD and vinyl edition, the band dropped a super deluxe version featuring the remastered album with two bonus tracks, a live CD, a tour DVD, five lithographs and a hard bound collector’s book. The Tragically Hip are vocalist Gordon Downie, Paul Langlois on backing vocals and guitar, Gord Sinclair on bass and backup vocals, Rob Baker on guitar and percussionist Johnny Fay. Visit the band online and connect with them through Facebook and Twitter for all the latest updates.
