AUSTIN, TX — With the original kickoff show being rescheduled due to weather conditions, alternative rock band Blue October finally had the chance to perform in Austin, Texas this past Wednesday on their Home Tour, with opener Danny Malone.
Malone came out on his own to perform “Baby Bleu” to start the night off at Stubbs. He later brought out bandmates Charley Siess and Kenni Hede to perform a number of crowd-pleasers including, “Sugarwater,” “Speed Dreamer,” and “Skyboy.” They closed with “Spiderlegs,” and right after Danny gave a hug to both Kenni and Charley for a heartwarming moment on stage.
When Blue October took the stage, roars erupted from the crowd. The band opened with “Come In Closer,” off their third album History For Sale. They performed many fan favorites such as “Sway,” Bleed Out,” and “Into The Ocean.” Their newest single, “Home” was the last song of the night — it’s a track on their newest album with the same name and was released April 22nd.
