AUSTIN, TX — Up and coming rockers My Jerusalem played the Historic Scoot Inn on April 28th as a part of the Communion Music Series Tour.

Opening up the show was local musician Sugar Dirt and Sand. His set was acoustic driven, as he performed solo rather than performing with his partner on bass violin.

Another local followed — Hunter Sharpe, a band often compared to the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Nirvana. They had a very high energetic performance, bringing in quite the big crowd at the Scoot Inn. Being so young, this band has a lot of potential to continue their success in the music industry.

My Jerusalem was up next and certainly did not disappoint the crowd, and even got them to do some dancing. They opened up their performance with, “Young Leather,” followed by their newest single, “Rabbit Rabbit.” Their set had high energy, with frontman Jeff Klein performing each song with amazing vocal ability. Klein was feeling energetic as he got off the stage, sang into the bathroom beside the stage for half a song. Other notable songs they performed were “Its Torture!” “Dominoes,” “No One,” and “Done and Dusted.” It was a very engaging and intimate set as the venue was not too big, which gave fans the chance to be up close and personal to the talented band.

On June 24th My Jerusalem will release their new album A Little Death, which has a classic rock and roll vibe to it. The band will continue to tour throughout May supporting Against Me! on select dates.
