Hundreds of fans wearing KFC Buckets on their heads and toys in their hands flocked into Emo’s music venue in Austin, Texas to see former Guns N’ Roses lead guitarist perform.

With no opening act for the show, the fans were in for an intimate exciting night with Buckethead. Showing up around 20 minutes late to the stage for his set, you might think he got that from his former band Guns N’ Roses, which fans always claim Axl Rose and co. are mostly late to their own shows. As the house music came to a stop and the lights dimmed down, the crowd began to cheer and roar. Rocking out with his white signature Gibson Les Paul guitar, Buckethead came out shredding and playing along to his background tracks, which various instruments can be heard as he plays the guitar.

He performed some crowd favorites such as the oh so popular “Jordan,” and “Soothsayer,” which transitioned over to his song “Meta-Matic.” Buckethead performed half of the Star Wars theme song, all the while displaying some insane finger tapping. He later went down to the crowd and let the lucky front row fans use the kill switch and pluck a few strings on his guitar.

Buckethead had a little dancing session with two foam fingers performing robotic dance moves as his music played in the background. He moved closer to the crowd, this time with a big bag of toys in hand as he passed them out to the fans.

Creating a different environment from traditional concerts and seeing more than one person on stage, Buckethead really showed that his concerts are just as great as a three or four piece band and you can expect the same level of excitement. With a discography of over 264 studio albums, you will never know what to expect Buckethead to perform at his next show.
