Festival season has officially kicked off in Chicago! Adding to the excitement of a warm summer night was Nashville based rockers Moon Taxi. The band closed out the first night of the ever popular Taste of Randolph Festival with a massive enthusiastic crowd. (If you aren’t familiar with the band yet, you will be soon.) Moon Taxi brings an indie-progressive rock sound that differs from many other bands coming out of Nashville currently. The fanbase they are gaining internationally is on an unstoppable upward climb. With such songs as “All Day All Night,” “Mercury,” and the new chart topping “Two High,” expect to be seeing a lot more of these guys in the future.
Bonus content… They also moonlight as a Rage Against the Machine cover band called People of the Sun, and you never know when they do an encore if they are planning to come out as Moon Taxi or People of the Sun. Either way it’s always an exhilarating finish!
