Live on the Green // Nashville, TN // 8.10.17 CONCERT REVIEWS FEATURED MUSIC by Sam Carbine - August 13, 2017August 13, 2017 Article and Photos by: Sam Carbine It’s that time of year again and we could not be more ready. The annual Live on the Green put on by Lighting100 kicked off its 2017 series last night. For the Nashville locals, it’s a bitter-sweet mix of knowing the summer is coming to an end and some of the best music you will hear all year. This weeks line up included The Arkells, Michael Franti and Spearhead, and closed out the night with St. Paul and the Broken Bones. A free event to all ages, it takes place on the lawn in front of the courthouse right in the middle of downtown. This marks the 9th year since its inception in 2009 and over that time more than 300,000 people have attended. While many of the names on the line up may be new to some, one thing is certain. Lighting100 does not book bad bands. Every week on Thursday nights in August you know where you need to be and it will no doubt leave you wanting more. For more info on the line up you can check out the Live on the Green website here . Come join us next week for Minus the Bear, Real Estate, and Local Natives. Gates open at 5pm and music starts a 6pm. #lotg2017
