Hollywood Undead // Live @ Starland Ballroom // 11.24.17 CONCERT REVIEWS MUSIC by Sam Tucker - December 13, 2017December 13, 2017 Article and Photos by: Sam Tucker Sayreville, NJ – On Black Friday many people went hunting for the best Christmas deals, while others in the area invested (more appropriately) in concert tickets. Those who did had grabbed tickets to see a packed lineup that would give back in return, a night of pure energy. Starland Ballroom lived up to its name as the crowd never stopped dancing all night. Callout started the night with a female-fronted band that delivered incredible alternative rock music. The up-and-coming band started with high energy, owning the stage with songs off their EP World of The Blind. Callout soaked up the spotlight and interacted with the crowd throughout their enjoyable set, even releasing tons of balloons displaying their logo to the crowd’s delight. Girl power seemed to own the night as Butcher Babies took the stage next. They sang songs from their previous albums and their upcoming 3rd studio ablum Lilith. The vocalists got up close and personal with the crowd, singing right along with fans at the stage barrier. Hollywood Undead took the stage next. Each member came out one by one to make a dramatic opening that got the crowd hyped. This band is an interesting mix of hip hop, metal, and rock which got the crowd jumping and singing along while dancing their hearts out in mosh pits. They played some of their older songs like their hit, “Everywhere I Go,” but also some of their new music off their recent album V. It was an incredible Black Friday filled with energy and lots of dancing to burn off a few calories from Thanksgiving dinner.
