ARC Festival 2022 – Preview

Article by: Charles Yamabe

Chicago, IL — Just because summer is winding down, it doesn’t mean that the fun has to wane. Back for its second year in a row, ARC Festival is looking to light up your Labor Day! Taking place in Chicago’s Union Park, ARC Music Festival has officially expanded to three full days of art and entertainment. Adding a third day means an even more extensive lineup. Some of that extended lineup includes Boris Brejcha, Fatboy Slim, Claptone, Chris Lake, and Lane 8.

As always, the main focus of the festival is Chicago’s historic House Music Scene. Big hitters like Chicago’s own Derrick Carter, Ron Carroll, Mike Dunn, Gene Farris, and Honey Dijon will be on hand to give the audience a taste of what Chicago’s House Music scene is all about. If you’ve never had the experience of seeing Mike Dunn, Ron Carroll, or Derrick Carter live, let me tell you that it is a renaissance for the soul. When you’re surrounded by fellow Chicago House Heads, the energy is formidable. Accompanying, the current House theme is new school next-generation house artists such as Gorgon City, Claptone, Get Real, Eats Everything, and Justin Martin.

To top it all off, ARC and Auris Presents have brought back Elrow to curate a sensory immersive stage. Elrow is the epitome of fun, fashion, and excitement. They are known around the world for throwing massive creative cultivated parties that extend our world and into the next. Whether it’s giant chickens, aliens, stilt walkers, or miles of streamers and confetti they always bring an unforgettable show. It’s so massive that it’s hard to describe. Trust me, you just have to experience it in person.

Arc Festival promises to blend the finest in classic House, new House, Techno, and Melodic House music. The idea behind ARC is simple, pay homage to the home of house music while at the same time producing an event that will leave attendees spellbound. Since this year has stepped up to three days, we can only expect that it will be an even more glorious production.
