Brooklyn, NY – Doom metal veterans Pallbearer are currently on the road supporting their new album Mind Burns Alive. On Thursday night, they brought their wall-shaking sound to the Music Hall of Williamsburg. The background music faded out, the lights changed to a dim red hue, and Pallbearer began their heavy set of music. From the very first note, the band’s members were flipping their hair, shaking their instruments, and having a rambunctiously fun time performing. The crowd matched their energy with loud, excited cheers between songs. Even in the 90 degree NYC heat, the band’s fans were packed right against the stage. “It’s so great to be here in New York! We just put out a new record we worked hard on, so we’d like to play some of the new songs for you tonight” said the band before playing “Where The Light Fades”, the lead single from the aforementioned album.
Pallbearer’s North American tour continues through August, after which they head overseas in the fall. You can check out all their upcoming tour dates here.
