The Used // Live @ Rams Head Live! // 7.9.24 CONCERT REVIEWS FEATURED MUSIC by Kimmi Taylor - July 14, 2024July 14, 2024 Article and Photos by: Kimmi Taylor Baltimore, MD – Tons of people flooded into Ram’s Head Live at 6pm as doors opened. The first act of the night was Amira Elfeky. The up-and-coming California singer set the mood for the night and got the crowd going with a dark and moody nu-metal performance. Story of the Year Next, Story Of The Year made their way to the stage. The band played many songs from their first album, Page Avenue, while weaving in some of their newer material. Some fan favorites were “Anthem of Our Dying Day,” “Real Life,” and ”Until the Day I Die.” They set the tone from their first chord for how the show was going continue to go – fast, fun, and with tons of crowd engagement, and they kept that energy up for their whole set. The Used Finally, the house lights when down and screams erupted from the crowd. The Used walked on stage and started with “Pretty Handsome Awkward” from their 2007 album, Lies For The Liars. They played a little of everything from their extensive discography with songs like “Giving up,” “The Bird and the Worm,” “All That I’ve Got,” and “MEDZ.” Lead singer Bert McCracken took a moment to talk to the crowd about how music is so important to him. He also pointed out that that the group has been around for 24 years now and never had a hiatus, fought or came close to breaking up. The Used ended their seventeen-song set with “The Taste of Ink,” immediately prompting the crowd to scream for more. The extended encore break proved to be well worth it when the band reemerged for three more songs. Fan favorite, “A Box Full of Sharp Objects” closed the night on a high note. For any fan of The Used, old or new, this show proved to be a memorable performance. The Used For more tour dates: https://theused.net
