New York City – Indie rock powerhouse Two Door Cinema Club stopped by NYC to deliver a fun-filled night of upbeat music. What made the show particularly special was it’s the first of two nights the band was playing at one of NYC’s only rooftop concert venues. Beautiful views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines, along with the East River and Brooklyn Bridge, can be seen from the Rooftop at Pier 17.

The sold out show was packed with little room to maneuver the crowd. The house lights went dim, and the band’s impressive light show lit up the stage in purple and red hues. From the moment Two Door Cinema Club started playing, the audience was singing, throwing their hands in the air, and dancing with each other. The group began their set with “This is the Life”, followed up with “I Can Talk”, which then led right into “Sleep Alone”. Each band member made ample use of the large stage, often energetically running around, and jumping along to the beat. Their signature sound of bopping drums, thumping bass, and catchy guitar hooks resonated through the warm summer air. “They’re literally THE perfect band to see this summer. I’m so glad I could make this show!” said an audience member during the group’s set.

Two Door Cinema Club’s expansive tour continues through North America into August, after which the band heads abroad for the rest of the summer, before returning for more North American dates in September. Their full tour schedule can be found on their website.
