The Cadillac Three // Live @ The Theatre Of The Living Arts // 2.10.17 CONCERT REVIEWS FEATURED MUSIC by Bob Linneman - February 13, 2017 Article and Photos by: Bob Linneman When the last item placed on the stage is a cooler, you know it’s going to be a fun show. The Cadillac Three rolled into Philadelphia to bring their Black Roses Tour to South Street. Supporting their new release Bury Me In My Boots, which has put up tremendous numbers soaring to #2 on iTunes Top Albums Charts, #2 Country, and #5 in the All Genre categories in the US. The Theatre of the Living Arts was shoulder to shoulder when the band hit the stage already raising a drink in hand. The high energy night was powered by Jaren Johnston on Guitar and lead vocals, with solos that had the crowd fully committed to the party. Jaren showed off his range of guitar musicianship with fast solos on songs like “Slide” and “Party Like You,” but also slowed it down when needed on such songs as “Drunk Like You” while maintaining a steady rhythm. Each song was rounded with a full backing provided by the multi-talented Kelby Ray playing Bass Steel Guitar, Dobro, Acoustic, and Neil Mason supplying thunderous percussion and vocals during the entire evening. TC3’s massive following in Philly was evident with the crowd singing and dancing to each song. It was definitely a feel good night, providing a great escape to a very chilly night… a country bonfire party in a concrete city.
