ORLANDO, FL — Orlando’s adult/contemporary radio station Mix 105.1 hosted their All I Want For Christmas concert starring Third Eye Blind, The Band Perry, and Jamie Lawson. Radio hosts Dana Taylor and Jay Edwards opened the show with some kind words about their coworker, Scott McKenzie, who recently passed away due to cancer, following a video montage of memorable moments from his life. After that, Scott’s band Simulcast took the stage with a special performance in honor of their dear friend.
Shortly after, Jamie Lawson rocked the stage with an exclusive acoustic set. Following him, The Band Perry won the crowd over by singing a Christmas song, setting the mood for the holiday season, and continued their performance with their other popular songs. They later announced that they are currently working on their third album, and performed one of the new songs featured on it: “The Best One Yet”. As they concluded their set the crowd went wild, displaying their excitement for the band’s new music coming soon.
Finally, Third Eye Blind took the stage, giving the nineties kids a major throwback moment! With an encore performance, they played their classics “Jumper,” “Semi-Charmed Life,” and more – all with the same unique vocals and thrilling performances from their previous years active. Overall, Mix 105.1 did a great job in planning and hosting this sold out Christmas show just in time for the holidays. It definitely was a terrific treat for all rock fans this season!
