NORFOLK, VA– Concert season is kicking into high gear and with that, both new artists and artists that have expanded creatively over the past two years are now front and center. Enter Lilith Czar– her Instagram proudly says it all, “Juliet Simms is gone, Lilith Czar has risen”.

Who is/was Juliet Simms? Back story: over ten years in the music scene as a singer/ songwriter. A resume that includes stints on the Warped Tour and The Voice. Accomplished and experienced. Goal oriented and independent. Now with a new look and a new label (Sumerian), Juliet Simms has undergone a metamorphosis, a transformation- now known as artist Lilith Czar. Armed with fresh material from 2021 album Created from Filth and Dust, Lilith takes us through her journey, song by song each inspired by a different chapter and a different facet in the dark glittering new self.

Lilith’s visual inspiration reminds one of Anne Rice’s Queen of the Damned. An empowered female presence, dark gothic imagery, a rising from innocence. Royalty and a fierceness, yet there exists a tender core that is examined and held closely.

A great stage presence- Lilith is the total package. The voice, the lyrics, the look. She’s not shy about sharing her own narrative. As Lilith said on stage, she lived a dream that became a nightmare, yet she kept going. Witness the story told in “Lola”-

Garbed in a black bodysuit, black heeled booties and singing into a mic on a stand festooned with flowers, she mixes tough and tender. She understands vulnerability yet she has the strength to conquer the world. And she calls out to all the women in the audience: I’m here to tell you that you are all magical and incredible. You are more than Queens. You are Kings.

Lilith wears the crown for all of us. Catch her on tour with Three Days Grace in a city near you.

Her ultimate goal is to successfully present the live music genre as an art form which preserves the expression, emotion, and energy of specific moments in time. ////// GLENN WOODELL spends his musical time working both on and around the stage. He's spent decades behind the lens as a visual artist, and for his career, studied human vision as a scientific researcher. His time on the stage these days is either spent holding on to a bass guitar or a camera.
