Allston, MA – Sunset Rollercoaster is a modern Taiwanese soul/funk band channeling retro American sounds. Got your attention? The band is exactly as unique as it sounds and they’re riding a wave of success across Asia to bring their dance party to the USA. Tonight they’re playing a sold out show at Great Scott in Allston, MA which is 1/4 bar and 3/4 concert venue. It makes for an intimate experience with the stage packed with all six band members, half of whom are just an arm’s reach away.

The band makes it look easy, their bass heavy jams rolling effortlessly from the stage. They’ve taken some cues from the great American jam bands too as they savor each riff and explore the many permutations it can take. Lead singer Kuo-kuo’s voice drifts in and out, his words and soothing voice adding another layer to the music. The crowd is eating it up, pressing tightly to the stage, ever trying to become more enveloped by the sound.

Experience the mesmerizing sounds of Sunset Rollercoaster as they visit a city near you!
